Reddit user Lycerius struck viral gold when he posted about his insane 10-year-long game of Civilization II. Even Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg was amazed by it.
For those unfamiliar with the Sid Meier games, Civ II lets you control a civilization from ancient times into the modern world.
Why did he keep this game going for so long?
"Though long outdated, I grew fascinated with this particular game because by the time Civ III was released, I was already well into the distant future," writes Lycerius. "I then thought that it might be interesting to see just how far into the future I could get and see what the ramifications would be."
Here's what his world looks like — "a hellish nightmare of suffering and devastation."
